My Second Inquiry

My second inquiry is “The possible solution to prevent landslides.” There are many ways to do this. This inquiry means that there are lots of ways to prevent landslide. One of the examples was to make a stairs like on the rice field so the soil will not keep falling down, people do the same thing to what is happening at Gunung Pancar. There are other ways to prevent this not only making the stairs like the people did at Gunung Pancar. We could prevent the happening of landslide by not doing illegal logging. This is a way to stop the happening of landslide. We also could stop burning the trees at the forest. Landslide could happen if there’s a really big rain, the rain will push the soil down and if the soil can’t hold it, landslide will happen. We also could plant trees and in a few week, month or year the trees will grow and it will change the trees that people have cut. People could do small things that will be useful for us. If people have done small things, now we could start in making the small things. So, start to do this to have a better future later on.

The performance homework

It helps the audience to understand about the inquiry by making a story board that how landslide broke the houses and by looking at what happened on the things that we’re doing. We will show also how to prevent it.

We could show our talents by making the background of the storyboard play to be more interesting.

The purpose is to make this storyboard play is to show what really causes landslide and if it happen again, how could we handle or prevent it.

The performance itself will took around 5 minutes so first we’re going to show the first and the last scene and ask the audience what is happening than, we will repeat it one more time, but the second time we do it, we show it from the first scene to the last scene.

The special needs to make this performance is
We will need
–The background for the storyboard ‘we could ask the maintenance to help us with this.

The Key Concept

The Key Concept

The key concept that my group choose is the causation and perspective. We choose this because we think that landslide could happened with different types of ways such as rain, illegal logging and other stuff like that. We also choose perspective because we think that we could asked people of what they think about what causes landslide that happened in Gunung Pancar. We will go to Gunung Pancar again to find about what they think. We could search what causes landslide by knowing different perspective from people.

My homework

Title: It's Our World and We're Responsible for it.Theam: Sharing the PlanetCentral Idea: We are responsible for determining causes of changes in our natural enviroment.Inquiry Into: 1 The cause and effect of landslides in communities2. The possible solutions to preent Landslides We are responsible for determining causes of changes in our natural enviroment.

There are some special types of landslide here are the list:

1. Debris flow
A debris flow is a slope material that become wet if we mix them with water that will become a debris flow or mud flow. It will cause flood along the path that were get block by the trees, and houses.
2. Earth flow
An earth flow is a kind of landslide but it happens only in some particular parts.
3. Shallow landslides
A Shallow landslide is a landslide which the sliding part is located between the soil or the bedrock.
4. Deep-seated landslide
A Deep-seated landslide is a landslide which the sliding surface is most locates deeply below the maximum of the trees root.
5. Related phenomena
A Related phenomena is similar to a landslide but this type of landslide includes lots of ice, snow and many rock fell so fast from the side of the mountain.

Landslide is a thing that includes a bid range of the land movement. One of the examples was rock falls. There are also many ways to make landslide to happen such as erosion, rock and soil, earthquake, volcano eruptions, vibrations, also ground water pressure. The meaning of landslide was representing one category of ‘phenomena’ which includes under general heading of mass movement. The earthwuake and putting water to a filter was also a force of gravity.

Jesse's Exhibition

These are the things for our exhibition

Title: It's our world and we're responsible for it.
Topic:Landslide
Group Name: The Mud-rines
Group Slogan: Make Friends With Nature
Inquiry:
1. The cause and effect of landslides in communities
2. The possible solutions to prevent Landslides
Central Idea: We are responsible for determining causes of changes in our natural environment.
Group Members: Melvin, Ivanna, Angga

My exhibition is about Landslide. I'm working with my friends in my group. We have made of stuff such as paintings, some model and also the pantomime. We're getting started to finish them! We're going to start to make our posters for the exhibition that we're going to have next month!
